Itma Munich 2007 will present the textile industry chain in full

From September 13th to 20th, 2007, the pavilions of the New München Exhibitions Center will house the event planned for international actors in the global textile industry setting. Cematex (European Textile Machinery Makers Committee, grouping 9 European associations) authorized VDMA (German Textile Machinery and Installations Association) to entrust the München Centre with the planning of a global, international textile machinery tradeshow, known as Itma (International Textile Machinery Show), in 2007. The event is held every four years in different places, attracting some 100,000 visitors and 1,300 exhibiting companies from all around the world. Itma 2007 will take up every square meter available in the New Exhibitions Centre of München.
This is “the largest, most widely known international tradeshow for textile machinery makers, and a major meeting point for all actors in this sector”. Itma is unique as an event grouping several sectors in the textile industry chain: weaving machines, textile production (woven and non-woven fabrics), fabric enrichment and processing, software, flow logistics, testing and measuring instruments, waste water treatment and textile chemical products.
The event addresses clients seeking solutions for the different areas in the textile chain of business. “So exhibitors offering products for each area in the textile chain will be especially benefited by participating in Itma”, planners point out.
For clothes makers, Itma 2007 will also feature innovations. Pavilion B2, in the centre of the venue, will exhibit several injunctions in the various phases of the textile chain, including those preceding production, like fabric enrichment and manufacturing. Demanding clients in European and American textile industry sectors will also find that Itma is an ideal place to find information on update technological trends and investments.

World novelties
It is expected that a large number of visitors will come from South America, Middle East, the Far East and Asia. Clients in these countries appreciate Itma, especially due to its comprehensive offer, information and the novelties regularly featured. Technical fabrics play a major role. “There is no other tradeshow presenting such a wide range of techniques and processes for making technical fabrics”, Itma representatives state.
Itma München will also showcase software and flow-technique solutions. Within these segments, the number of exhibiting companies has steadily grown over the past few years. In order to fulfill their major function within the textile chain, software and flow logistics exhibitors are also strategically located.
“We already have a large number of registered exhibitors for Itma 2007, though there is still some space available. The offer is limited and we are now entering the installation phase. So I recommend those companies that have not yet made their decision to enroll soon in order to get a good place for their stands”, suggested Ragnar Strauch, an expert in tradeshows belonging to VDMA’s Textile Machinery Professional Association.
