Over 35,544 visitors at Milano Unica

The union of five historic tradeshows “Made in Italy” incluyes Ideabiella, IdeaComo, Moda In, Prato Expo and Short Avenue, was victorious in its third “round”. With 35,544 visitors and growth levels of 30% in the sector of foreign companies, Milano Unica is reinstated as a major event for the textile sector.
The 35,544 visitors recorded at the past edition in September 2006 reveal that MIlano Unica has become an indispensable meeting point.
There were 19, 924 exhibitng companies, of which 6,704 (+ 30%) came from abroad, mainly from Korea, Hong Kong, India and Russia while most foreign buyers came from Japan and the USA. Of course, most of them were Europeans, comoing mainly from Great Britain, Germany, Spain and France.
“This unprecedented success is highly significant for MIlano Unica attracts a growing number of Italian and foreign participants and visitors”, stated Paolo Zegna, President of Milano Unica. He added, “This event contributes to the development of the textile industry. We have made significant improvements that help clients contact one another and place orders in an extremely efficient way. The third edition of Milano Unica has become a very successful event. The best proof of what can be achieved by uniting events”.
Massimo Mosiello, General Director of this global tradeshow, expressed satisfaction and stated he was very pleased with results. He announced that the next edition will be held as usual at Fieramilanocity in Portello, from February 13th to 16th, 2007
