Dulce Trenado (Gütermann): “There are endless choices for the use of faceted crystal beads”

We find faceted crystal beads at all international fashion shows, in creations by the most important fashion designers and labels. As a constant presence, they are applied on all types of garments, glamorous, urban and even of the most casual style.
We interviewed Dulce Trenado and asked her to share her views on these references. She says, “I think that faceted crystal beads are so successful because it has been found out they are a simple, elegant way of changing the look of clothes. It may be an elegant evening dress or just casual jeans. These beads may be applied on any kind of fabric and lend a personal touch to apparel. Faceted beads are very attractive because of their special shine, which is also translated into the look of clothes”.
Over 80 references
Gütermann interprets these trends in a collection comprising no fewer than 80 different references. “We offer some 80 types of different pearls and beads, all of them in an extensive range of colours. Most of them are crystal pearls and among them, faceted beads. There are choices for all preferences and we also market an extensive variety of beads or pearls made of wood, plastic, in addition to Knorr & Prandell products”, our interviewee comments.
The product range is extensive, and the choices, multiplied by the number of available colours, extends it even further. These products attract the interest of fashion designers.
Faceted crystals for all kinds of applications
Incrustations? Fancy jewelry? Home décor? Faceted crystals may be applied to all types of materials and elements, and they are also used in handcrafts for these products contribute beauty to everything. Dulce Trenado confirms this and tells us, “There is no end to the number of possibilities in the application of faceted crystals. They are ideal for clothes and fancy jewelry, and are also used for home décor.
This latter possibility is becoming widespread. All you need is ideas and of course, creative imagination”.
As to sizes, new trends allow for all sizes but in general terms, the smaller crystals are more widely sold.
New shapes
Faceted crystal beads have that special shine issuing light and colours of their own. But their shape is also important, for it is only natural that there will be a broad range of choices. Dulce tells us, “We have recently added faceted pearls in the shape of balls, drops of water, and diamonds”.
Fashion designers place their trust in these applications because they know success is ensured. For the time being, then, minimalism is on the shelf and what shines if the exuberant, romantic, exotic, elegant look finding its expression in faceted crystals.
