The results of the tradeshows held at Première Vision Pluriel

The tradeshows grouped under the “umbrella” event of Première Vision Pluriel closed on September 21st with encouraging results at this time when the textile sector is not exactly going through the best of times.
Mod’Amont was where 296 companies showcased their products, with the addition of two new countries represented: Lithuania and Turkey. The number of visitors totalled 18,884 professionals, interested in the products shown and which included mostly trimmings for the clothes-making sector. Of the total number, 12,652 were foreign visitors. This reveals that there were 4.5% more than in September 2006, but when compared to the edition of February 2006, the number decreased by 0.23%.
Indigo, on the other hand, welcomed a significantly larger number of visitors, as compared to September 2006 for 12,500 professionals showed great interest in proposals shown by print designers showcasing their creations at the various stands. There were also 24 young textile designers and creators, who had been previously screened by means of the very successful Texprint contest. Every edition of Indigo reveals that this is one of the textile tradeshows sure to become a major meeting point, due to the creative, innovative proposals it presents.
Expofilwelcomed 47,374 visitors, which means their number grew by 5.5% when compared with results of the September 2006 edition. Of these visitors, 73% came from Paris and France in general, and the remaining portion corresponded to people coming from the European Union, the US and Japan.
Le Cuir a Paris also showcased collections by 289 exhibiting companies. The business atmosphere was very positive and the event welcomed 13,590 visitors. The Designers Village presented original creations by Valérie Saïd (gloves and purses), leather compositions made by architect Wiktoria Guzen who showcased interior design creations, and Nouria Nena, who presented her line of purses.
And finally, Première Vision itself, the visible name of this global tradeshow grouping several events, with 2,700 exhibiting companies and visited by 120,000 people. Planners informed that 76% of those visiting Première Vision came from the European Union, which means that one out of four came from a country exporting products. Updated, modern, innovative collections and a good business atmosphere meant great satisfaction among professionals. The next edition of Première Vision Pluriel will be held from February 19th to 22nd, 2008, at the usual venue in Parc Nord Villepinte, in Paris.
