Fimi, the 66th edition and all the winter textures
|
The 66th edition of FIMI – the International Children’s and Teenage Fashion Tradeshow (Feria Internacional de Moda Infantil y Juvenil), will be held on January 18th to 20th, 2008, coinciding with the International Parenting and Child Care Tradeshow. FIMI is an event within the Valencia Ferias del Niño initiative (Tradeshows in relation to the world of children), and it grows in size and number of products. Children’s fashion and accessories, collections for mothers to be, layettes and gifts, equipment, décor and furniture, are among the products exhibited.
Some 250 exhibiting companies showcase their products and services, in stands assigned to them, with the latest novelties for the coming 2008-09 autumn-winter season.
Proposals follow the latest fashion trends: Winter Textures, Cold, Leaves, Water, Wood. All of these settings invite to enjoy games and experience dynamic universes, filled with colours and shapes.
The fashion show at FIMI is also a major attraction as the international show will welcome some 7,000 professionals and visitors.
Fashion is a world of changes also in the sector of children’s clothes and accessories, so it is essential that FIMI continues to strengthen cooperation among manufacturers and multibrand stores, for these are the major clients in the international event, and the link with the sectors represented with Asepri, the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Products for Children (Asociación Española de Fabricantes de Productos para la Infancia).
A change of schedule
This edition was originally scheduled for January 11th to 13th, but the Planning Committee chose to change the dates for the 08-09 autumn-winter edition so that it would coincide with the International Parenting and Child Care Tradeshow.
The decision was made following an extensive study of all the variables influencing the joint (or separate) events, and the committee chose the new dates in view of the benefits and convenience FIMI will offer the children’s fashion sector and all professionals, including purchasing agents, sales agents and exhibitors.
Visitors to FIMI’s 2008-09 autumn-winter edition can make use of the complimentary shuttle service offered by TUC TUC, the fashion and accessories brand dedicated to children. TUC TUC will once again, as it did in the past edition, rent a bus for visitors to FIMI, so that they may conveniently and comfortably reach the venue of Feria Valencia. The route of this bus will be Estación del Norte – Feria Valencia – Estación del Norte. And foreign guests invited through the Business Missions planned jointly by FIMI and Asepri will also be able to make use of this service in the city.
