Fornimaq, ongoing evolution in response to market needs

Fornimaq is a family owned business founded by Mr. Angel Rojas in 1997. The major goal of this company has always been excellent customer service, offering products of the highest quality and the gradual addition of business opportunities to expand their client portfolio and diversify their production, in order to meet all market needs.

The direction of fashion trends
The directors of this company tell us that over the past few seasons, and perhaps due to fashion trends or market circumstances, trimmings sales have not grown as they used to, so the stability of Fornimaq has to a great extent depended upon diversification. However, demand levels for trimmings and accessories are gradually recovering and now it is more about “rediscovery” than “fashion news” that clients seem to be oriented.

Products with an added value
Fornimaq’s products offer added value that is closely linked to the dynamic attitude of their business policies and strategies, “With eyes wide open to new trends and market needs in order to be aware of all we can do as professionals, to meet clients’ needs”. Fornimaq is present at major national and international tradeshows, representing their brands with their usual efficiency, a fact translated into wide recognition of both represented and representative in our marketplace. All of these names are held in high esteem by clothes makers, auxiliary workshops, distributors and retailers. Trimmings tradeshows like Mod’Amont (Paris), Machinery events like the Clothes making machinery show held in Barcelona, and IMB (Germany) are some of the places where we will find and appreciate the products presented and distributed by Fornimaq in Spain.

With an eye on the future
“Regarding our outlook on the future, today’s marketplace and sector undergo changes, and this is a time requiring rapid reaction to trends and fashion. For instance, perhaps sobriety is in fashion today, but tomorrow trends will call for details and elaborate designs. In the past we used to market products that interested clients, but now it is the other way round: we have clients and need to offer them whatever they need, at all times. Companies no longer market products as a major activity. We need to meet the needs of clients as our priority and this calls for dynamic strategies towards both clients and market sectors”, the director tells us. “On the other hand many clothes makers have either closed their doors or re-structured their organization. Instead of producing they are now marketing or exporting, so their needs change as well. Products need to be CE labeled, free of nickel, complying with ISO standards...and we must follow their lead. In a word, we must be very professional and know our clients, our products, with an awareness and knowledge of the new regulations and standards. As we represent companies instead of just supplying products, we are well aware of this and market needs are one of the pillars in our strategies”.
Guaranteeing excellent customer service is Fornimaq’s major goal, as the foundation of a company that continues to grow stronger in their market sector, due to the recognition they deserve.
