22 designers will be taking part in the third 080 Barcelona Fashion

A total of 53 designers will be in the selection of the third edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The competition’s adjudication panel made up of 11 international experts spent the whole day interviewing the creators who had presented their collections to take part in the forthcoming edition of 080 Barcelona, as well as in the Catalan fashion showroom to be held in Paris, coinciding with the Creators’ Week.
The president of the panel, Barbara Franchi, pointed out that “the level of the collections presented has improved by comparison with previous editions, and indicated that they are characterized by strong personality and styles of their own."
Of these 53 designers, 34 are Catalan creators or based in Catalonia. The remaining 19 are international creators, coming from: USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, UK and Japan, and elsewhere, who were invited to present themselves for the selection process.
The third edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion will be held from 16 to 19 March 2009, and will have an enlarged catwalk, which will include 22 individual parades and the collective parade of the Bressol project, figures representing a notable increase in numbers by comparison with the previous edition, held in September, and which had 15 parades.
