Premiere Vision and Expofil, stimuli in the world of fashion

The event is dedicated to fabrics, within the range of Premiere Vision Pluriel events comprising Expofil (threads and fibres), Le Cuir a Paris (leather), Indigo (design), ModAmont (accessories), and Zoom by Fatex (manufacture upon request), to be held a few days before summer’s end, on September 15th to 18th, in Paris Nord, Villepinte.
The creative, diversified proposals at Premier Vision seduce as the event is clearly a major window onto the world of fabrics for apparel and Premiere Vision, “provokes meetings”, as has been happening since 1973. It is and seeks to be, “The first world event in its sector. This is only possible due to our field work and our team’s efforts towards anticipating the direction of our markets”, planners explain.
The past event of Premiere Vision Pluriel, held in February, gathered 1,479 companies showcasing their products to “major buyers” coming from all around the world. Creativity, innovation and the ability to adapt...in an ideal setting for all decision makers by various brands to focus on the basics and choose what they know will be differentiating. The multiple events in this global initiative welcomed 38,945 professionals in the world of fashion textiles, of which 27,834 came from abroad. All came to Paris to discover the latest fabrics and yarns for the 2010 spring-summer season and anticipate what will be new in the 2010-11 autumn-winter.
The number of visitors fell by 18%, when compared to the edition held in September, 2008. But the large markets continued to reveal their presence in stable numbers: North America, with 1,410 visitors, Japan with 1,92 and Korea, with 426. Regarding Europe, the UK led the list of visitors, followed by Germany, Italy and Spain.
