Première Vision and Expofil unite their efforts

| The general assembly for Première Vision Le Salon S.A. and Expofil S.A., at an extraordinary-session meeting, approved of the projected merger of these two trade shows under the name of Première Vision Le Salon S.A., with the legal name of PVE S.A.
The meeting where this merger agreement was agreed upon was held in Paris-Nord Villepinte, on Saturday, February 28, 2004. At the meeting, it was also agreed that the French Association for Textile Promotion (AFPFT) which is the ‘mother’ of Expofil, participated in PVE S.A.’s capital, in which the Première Vision partnership is the major shareholder.
The administration council at PVE S.A. is composed by weaver and knitter association representatives, headed by Daniel Faure. The General Director, Philippe Pasquet will be in charge of developing this new agreement.
Within the operational merger frame agreed upon in February 2004, each trade show will preserve its identity and specificity. Both will continue to be promoted by their corresponding teams. According to the architects, “the agreement associating two leading trade shows for two textile occupations will allow us to unite our efforts, as we have already been working jointly. It will also strengthen the ability of both to better adjust to the evolution of textile markets and increase their potential for development on an international basis”.
