Indigo celebrates its 30th anniversary

Indigo, the textile design and creation trade show will open this year on the same date as Première Vision, Mod’Amont and Expofil. These trade shows will be all held in one location, so that the professionals belonging to the different sectors within the textile industry are able to visit all major fashion and European textile industry shows.
Between September 21st and 24th, Indigo will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Throughout its history the trade show has always been recognized by visitors who regard it as a referential point in the fashion and design sectors. Indigo is a major symbol for creativity devoted to the fashion sector (men’s, women’s, children’s, youth, baby’s, sportswear, lingerie, knitting, laces…) and also for the home fashion industry (home linen, tablecloths, mural tapestries, curtains…).
Every edition of Indigo is attended by over 5,000 visitors coming from European countries (65%) and from other continents (35%). Of this 65% representing European attendants, 22% come from France.

The creators of the future
In order to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Indigo will be holding a contest for students of Applied Arts in Europe. All works will be centered on the theme “dreams, the fantastic wishes of magic that lead us through the world of dreams”. And the 30 best dossiers will be presented at the Trade Show, while attendants and visitors will chose the 10 best ones. The award is a stand for Indigo’s coming edition in February 2005.

Allegories of the celebration
Indigo celebrates its 30th anniversary through a setting inspired in tam-tam. Each exhibitor will be given a translucid stool they will decorate in accordance to their choice, and it will be interesting to see how the same object reveals the various approaches. This is a game that seeks to value humor and creativity in an original way.
