Shanghai Tex Exhibition will possibly extend its surfaces to welcome all the demanding exhibitors

The organizers of the 11th edition of Shanghai Tex, International Exhibition of Textile Industry of Shanghai of 2005, have recently announced that the number of exhibitors’ reservations have allowed them to entirely complete the exhibition supply. Even in this way, they keep on receiving entreaties from many exhibitors who want to take part in the trade fair. For the moment they will be registered in a waiting list until a solution is found to enable them to take part in the fair. The exhibition will take place from the 3rd to the 7th of June 2005 at the New International Centre of Exhibitions of Shanghai.
At this moment, the exhibition is already known by the main international companies of the textile sector and has become “the leading textile event in China”. Some organisation’s sources affirm that “in front of a great demand from companies, the need of extending the exhibition area to welcome the numerous exhibitors of the waiting list is being considered. Many of the exhibitors who took part in the last edition of 2003 had already reserved a place for the 2005 edition. That is the reason why the exhibition was full long before the end of the reservation limit.
At this moment, the exhibition surface is 100.000 square metres, 40% more than last time, and the solution to answer a great demand is to extend this surface.
The fabrics and the manufactured items are what China exports the most. From 2005, when rates will be eliminated, the number of exports would increase more. “Taking into consideration the position Chinese textile products will reach in the world market, the exchange of experience and technique between local and foreign firms is what each firm of the competition have to share” announced organisation’s sources. “The mission of this exhibition is to facilitate this exchange”.
Until now, many countries have confirmed their presence at the exhibition. On their side, countries like Germany, Italy, the United States, Spain, Korea and Taiwan will have at their disposal thousands of square metres to show their products. At the same time, significant agents from other sectors have shown interest for the exhibition: weaving-knitting firms, chemical textile firms, painting firms, dyeing and other finish, etc.
In order to facilitate the visit, the exhibition will be divided in five thematic areas: a zone with equipment and weaving-knitting machines and hosiery; a zone of machines and equipment to paint, dye and other finish; a zone of chemical textile firm, a zone of spinning machines and weaving machines.
Moreover, seminars and conferences on current affairs will take place. They will be announced in advance when the program will definitively be close.
In the last edition, about 120.000 visitors attended the 4 days exhibition. They were coming from 47 different countries and represented more than 30 cities, provinces and regions of China. And about 35 delegations from the entire world were welcomed.
