IMB 2006 bets on technology in textile processes

IMB – World of Textile Processing will be held between May 10th and 13th, 2006 in Köln, Germany. It seeks to be the largest show window for manufacturers to present their latest creations: technical textile materials with special properties and uses, and a growing number of applications in everyday life, beyond their specific purposes.
As of the edition held in 2000, IMB started expanding the field of applications for machinery and equipment, starting from their specific use in the clothes-making sector, to begin manufacturing technical textile materials. These are to be presented in close relation to their manufacturing process and their ultimate use in finished products. The manufacturing process of technical textile products is very important, for the various stages (welding, sewing, etc) are responsible for the properties and uses of finished products.
IMB traditionally focuses on the manufacturing process, though according to their spokespersons “our mission is not just to show what can be manufactured, but to reveals “how” and “what for”, so that both exhibiting companies and visitors can enlarge their scopes and add products to their offer, including machinery, equipment and software”.
