Ángel González, the Sales Representative for Gütermann, explains that “nowadays, people prefer jewel buttons, toupis, sequins and faceted pearls. We are finding that the latest trends promote their use. There is a strong trend to enhance and give a personal touch to clothes, which means adding glamour”.

All around Europe, this trend is evident and particularly strong among young people who are interested in original, attractive clothes full of ornaments and doing away with the style known as minimalist.
Christmas Eve and the rest of the year
Ángel González believes that fashion shows and magazines feature a wide range of uses for beads and pearls manufactured and distributed by Gütermann, though he points out that “in addition to clothes for special occasions such as Christmas Eve, there is interest in using beads on urban clothes as well”. He also adds “complements, such as purses, shoes or belts, may also be embellished with beads and sequins”.
Gütermann promotes the creativity of designers and artists through their collections of beads and crystal, shiny ornaments to be applied on clothes. They offer new alternatives and suggest applications which, in the words of Ángel González, vindicate the old saying: “Imagination rules!”.
